An exercise in material purity and elementary geometry, the MY68 chair for Sawaya & Moroni translates structural logic into a functional seating profile. Constructed from slatted wood in both stained and painted variations, the chair relies on precise linear repetition and clean, radiused edges to navigate the transition from structure to support. By eliminating superficial hardware, the design celebrates the inherent properties of timber, resulting in an understated, technically honest silhouette that adapts seamlessly to diverse material expressions.

With MY68, the goal was to eliminate the superficial. By relying purely on elementary geometry, the transition from structure to seat becomes entirely seamless.
