The Super Clover is the large-scale architectural ancestor of the Clover lighting family we developed with Lasvit. Where the Clover collection translated our geometric light sculpture research into objects for the home, the Super Clover was the original form: a substantial installation piece born from an extended study into the possibilities of creating light sculptures within a mathematical grid system. The research explored how geometric forms could be multiplied, rotated and assembled within a grid to create structures that felt simultaneously logical and unexpected. It is the kind of work that sits between design and art, not quite either, and that research underpins much of what we have produced with Lasvit since. The Super Clover remains one of those projects that gave rise to far more than the object itself.
