Sheung Wan Herald Volume 2

Volume 2 of the Sheung Wan Herald continues our studio's journey with a focus on the refined processes behind our latest collaborations. This issue features an in-depth look at our interior project for Iittala, where we explored the heritage of the Finnish glass factory founded in 1881. We share insights into our design process through snapshots of life in Sheung Wan and a collection of the raw sketches that Michael often produces during flights to be sent back to the office. October is a particularly inspiring time for our team in Hong Kong, as the pleasant weather allows us to step away from the air conditioning and find fresh perspectives on the peak.

In addition to our case studies, we highlight several projects that demonstrate our experimental approach to materials and form. This includes our first attempt at creating a product directly from 3D printing and the continued success of our stainless steel shoehorn for Georg Jensen, which remains a staple of our archival work. This volume also celebrates personal milestones within the studio, such as Michael's birthday, reflecting the vibrant culture that defines our team. We invite you to stay tuned as we prepare for a busy season of global launches and new creative challenges.
