Volume 3 of the Sheung Wan Herald, our studio's publication, arrives with a focus on maintaining a cultural, spiritual, and creative balance within our design practice. This issue centres on our studio's immersive journey to Takigahara Farm in Komatsu, Japan, where we engaged in a design exchange hosted by the legendary Teruo Kurosaki. Immersed in the rich craft traditions of Ishikawa prefecture, from visiting sake factories and incense producers to exploring 150-year-old traditional wooden houses, we sought to understand how design can be infinitely thoughtful. Alongside our travels, we are proud to launch new work in watches, lighting, and shelving that has finally moved from development into print. This issue also celebrates a significant milestone within our own team, as Ben marks ten years at the studio: a decade defined by hard work and shared creative growth in Sheung Wan.
