EOQ - Orsted Desk

The Orsted Desk was designed for EOQ, the Hong Kong furniture brand we developed our first collections, and it is perhaps the purest expression of what that collaboration was about. The entire first EOQ collection was unified by the theme of aluminium extrusion, with each piece originating in the observation of an existing factory process that we then diverted from forming a hidden industrial component into something entirely visible and considered. The Orsted is built from three cleverly assembled anodised extrusions, delivering all the functionality of a contemporary desk from what is essentially one intelligently designed piece of aluminium. A leather top and oak or walnut legs bring warmth to the metal form, and the desk is available in a range of finishes including gold, copper, grey, silver, and pale gold. Throughout the collection, we specified recycled aluminium as the key material, reflecting EOQ's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
