The Night Market

The Night Market is a Taiwanese street-food restaurant in Hong Kong, and we were invited to contribute to its interior design alongside interior designer Alexi Robinson. The branding and ceramics were created by Latitude 22N. The project was a departure from the more technically demanding product and furniture work that occupies most of our time, and it gave us an opportunity to think about how design functions in a genuinely everyday, accessible context. The Night Market has since become one of Hong Kong's best-loved Taiwanese restaurants, receiving coverage from Time Out as one of the city's best Taiwanese dining destinations. The space balances warmth and character with the no-fuss directness that defines good street food culture.
