The Clover is a direct descendent of the Super Clover, a large geometric lighting form born from an extensive study of the opportunities presented by creating light sculptures within a mathematical grid system. Working with Lasvit, the Czech masters of Bohemian glass, allowed us to bring some of that sculptural ambition into the home at a scale and price point that felt genuinely accessible. The Clover extracts specific elements from the Super Clover study and resolves them into simple, usable objects: a table lamp, a floor lamp and a pendant, each built around a sandblasted hand blown glass shade set in a champagne gold or mirror finish metal structure. The collaboration with Lasvit was a natural one, not unlike our work with Tittot in Shanghai, driven by a shared respect for traditional craft techniques pushed to their limits by contemporary design. The Clover collection was presented as part of Lasvit's Milan Design Week 2014 programme.
