KEF - LSX

The LSX was the product of several years of collaboration with KEF, one of the world's most respected names in audio, and it represents our most sustained exploration of sound and material to date. The brief was to pack all the specifications of KEF's high-end kit into a compact, fully wireless two-speaker system without sacrificing the emotion and detail of true high-resolution stereo. The cabinet design required extensive use of finite element analysis and features constrained layer damping drawn directly from KEF's flagship products, giving a speaker small enough to sit on a shelf or flank a television a sound field that completely belies its size. The exterior is clad in a luxury fabric by Danish textile manufacturer Kvadrat, available in black, blue, maroon and olive alongside a gloss white option, with colours and finishes developed to give the product a youthful character while drawing on KEF's sixty years of heritage. The LSX is fully wireless both from source and between the two speakers, featuring Apple AirPlay 2 for multi-room streaming. A second generation, the LSX II, followed with an expanded specification including HDMI ARC, USB-C and support for high-resolution files up to 192kHz/24-bit, continuing the original design language with the same Kvadrat fabric wrapping and matte metallic front and rear panels.
